When a person dies, someone has to deal with their assets (money, property etc) and distribute them. This is obviously a very distressing time and for many people it will be the first time they have had to deal with the practicalities arising out of the death of a loved one.
In this summary, we explain what the law in the Isle of Man says should happen when someone dies. It is only intended to give a general overview and is not a complete guide to the law.
